PREP

Wash Surface with soap and water to remove dirt.  Degrease with any wax and Grease Remover (any Solvent).  Scuff sand with 180 grit or rougher.  Blow dust away and solvent wipe again.  Run masking tape down all your edges.  Use paper or plastic to completely cover rest of vehicle. WEAR AN APPROVED PAINT RESPIRATOR!

MIX – Never Mix Different Colored Liners Together – Not Compatible

Mix all of part A and part  B along with color , reducer, and rubber (if using).   If you are spraying a color that has the color in the PART A and you do not wish to use rubber, cut back on the reducer, If using a hopper gun, you might want to leave out altogether.

If you are unsure of yourself, mix one half of each of the above and you can take your time spraying. Rubber will darken all colors, Please be careful, it is okay to leave out altogether if you want a clean color such as yellow or bright red.  Mix with a wooden paint paddle in a 2.5 gallon (or bigger) pail until bedliner is all consistent.  If using an electric drill, do not mix contents more than 60 seconds.  You have 20 minutes pot life before mix is too thick to use.  Keep out of direct sun.  The material should be poured into the can, screw on gun and spray!  If it has troubles spraying, loosen gun on can.

SPRAY

If you are using an undercoater gun, can.  Connect air hose, (60-75 psi) works best, more is even better.  If product is having trouble spraying, loosen gun from can or add more reducer, Lacquer Thinner or any Xylene based reducer will work fine, NOT MINERAL SPIRITS.  Get into truck and  start spraying at the cab working toward the tailgate (most people take tailgate off to spray).  Hold gun 18-24 inches from surface.  Do not attempt to spray on heavy, your first coat is supposed to cover your trucks paint.  Work your way out of the bed.  Keep filling can and spraying on an additional coat until all the material is gone.  HEAVY ON THE FLOOR EASY ON THE WALLS. You will feel the product getting hotter in the container, do not panic, this is the curing process starting.

If you are using a hopper gun, USE SMALLEST TIP (treat hopper with wd-40, this will help the cleaning process)  fill hopper half way with material,  turn on air and PULL trigger LIGHTLY  to spray.  You do not want to hose the material on, put it on in light coats. Air comes out of the gun even if trigger is not pulled – Do not Freak out.

It is best to put the first coat on moving from right to left.  Put the second coat on while standing outside of the bed, going from cab to tailgate.  NO NEED TO WAIT  BETWEEN COATS, KEEP SPRAYING UNTIL IT IS ALL GONE.

 Keep truck dry until product is dry to touch, at this point pulling it into heat is fine, direct sun also helps drying. Clean gun first then remove all of your tape.

CLEAN UP

Spray Lacquer Thinner thru the undercoater gun and wipe down.  If using the hopper, remove the top and put aside, run lacquer thinner thru the gun, remove nozzle and clean real well.  Use a brush or rag, DO NOT SOAK GUN, GASKETS WILL GO BAD.  The top (hopper) can be cleaned the next day, when the material hardens, peel it out.

Remove tape, paper, plastic immediately after cleaning gun.  Look for any overspray on the vehicle.  Wipe any overspray off with a rag and thinner. Product will harden in 2-3 Hours,  Truck bed can be used in 24 hours.  Can be pulled out into direct sun to help cure faster.  Keep bed dry until cured.  FULL CURE IS 5 DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
